Spartans High School Hockey

The Denton County Spartans Hockey Club is excited to announce the kickoff to the 2026 fall/winter season with our annual fall tryouts. We look forward to seeing the old faces and the new.

Ages

Varsity: Entering 9-12th grade in Fall 2026

JV: Entering 7-10th grade in Fall 2026 (minimum 2013 birth year)

Tryouts

August 8, 2026

Farmer Branch Rink

JV: 3:30-4:30 pm

Varsity: 4:45-5:45 pm

What to expect

A brief warmup followed by a spirited scrimmage for roughly an hour.

What to Bring

Light and dark colored jerseys with your name on the back.

Water for the bench.

Plenty of energy.

Must do before leaving tryouts

Before leaving tryouts you must get fitted and submit a completed sizing form to the club. Failure to do so could result in delayed delivery of jerseys and other apparel if selected for a team.
